Teresa Fish Inducted into Kenyon Hall of Fame

GAMBIER, OHIO - Illinois Wesleyan University head men's and women's swimming and diving coach Teresa Fish is set to be inducted into the Kenyon Athletics Hall of Fame Friday, Sept. 9. Fish will be one of five inductees in this year's class. 

The Kenyon Athletics Hall of Fame provides recognition to those well-deserving athletes, administrators, coaches, and staff members who brought distinction and honor to the College's Athletics Department. Inductees represent the spirit of athletic competition at Kenyon and exemplify the highest standards of sportsmanship, integrity and devotion. 

Fish earned a bachelor's degree in chemistry in 1988 at Kenyon (Ohio) College, where from 1985-88 she won 14 NCAA Division III swimming titles and earned 27 swimming All-American honors as well as being named an Academic All-American. She was a part of four straight NCAA wins in both the 200-yard freestyle relay and the 400-yard freestyle relay, as well as back-to-back titles in the 800-yard freestyle and 200-yard medley relays. The 1987 Kenyon women's swim team won the national Division III title, taking 15 of 18 events including all five relays. Fish was a team captain in her senior season and capped off her Kenyon career with an NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship.

Fish has been the Illinois Wesleyan swimming and diving coach since 1995, earning College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin "Coach of the Year" honors ten times in her career.
