Swim and Dive Concludes Wheaton Invite

Titans return to the pool Jan. 10

WHEATON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan University men's and women's swimming and diving team concluded the fall portion of its 2025-26 season Saturday, Dec. 6, as the Titans finished day two of the Wheaton Invitational, hosted by Wheaton College.

Freshman Abby Schnittker (Lombard, Ill.-Willowbrook) continued her strong weekend in the pool, as she notched a new personal-best time in the 100-yard butterfly. Schnittker clocked in at 1:01.00, narrowly edging out her previous best of 1:01.01. Fellow freshman Ellen Hoover (Naperville, Ill.-Naperville Central) also posted a personal-best time in the event, as she touched at 1:03.04.

Also competing in the 100 fly, junior Isabella Cano (River Grove, Ill.-East Leyden) knocked 1.59 seconds off her seed time, as she finished the event in 1:05.59.

In the 50-yard freestyle, senior Julianna Boyle (Carol Stream, Ill.-Glenbard North) and sophomore Caroline Stenger (Westlake, Ohio-Westlake) each improved on their seed times. Boyle shaved 0.39 seconds off her time (28.70), while Stenger dropped an impressive 1.33 seconds, touching just behind her teammate (28.84).

Senior Jay Jenkins (Aurora, Ill.-West Aurora) posted a top-10 time in the preliminary rounds of the 100-yard backstroke, as he touched at 55.06.

Illinois Wesleyan will take the remainder of 2025 off and turn its attention to the 2026 portion of the season. The Titans return to the pool Saturday, Jan. 10, as they host Rose-Hulman for a dual. Action is scheduled to begin inside Fort Natatorium 1 p.m.
