Swim and Dive Hosts Millikin and Illinois College for Triangular

Action inside Fort Natatorium to begin at 6 p.m.

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - A second straight weekend at home will see Illinois Wesleyan University men's and women's swimming and diving host Millikin University and Illinois College for a Friday night triangular, Jan. 16. Action is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. inside Fort Natatorium.

Illinois Wesleyan enters the contest after cracking open the 2026 portion of its season against Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology Saturday, Jan. 10. The Titans took home first in 16 events, led by three wins from senior Natalie Porter (Danville, Ill.-Danville). Porter won the 200-yard freestyle, 200-yard breaststroke, and 200-yard individual medley. 

Also achieving multiple wins on the day were freshman Abby Schnittker (Lombard, Ill.-Willowbrook), senior Jay Jenkins (Aurora, Ill.-West Aurora), and sophomores Jacob Nacional (Bolingbrook, Ill.-Bolingbrook) and Tate Thomas (Joliet, Ill.-Joliet West). Schnittker took home first in the 100-yard freestyle and 100-yard butterfly, while Jenkins won the 100-yard backstroke and 50-yard freestyle. Nacional notched the top time in the 500-yard freestyle and 200 IM, and Thomas finished first in the 100 and 200 free. Sophomore Caroline Stenger (Westlake, Ohio-Westlake) notched a victory in the 100-yard breaststroke, while freshman Ellen Hoover (Naperville, Ill.-Naperville Central) claimed first in the 200-yard butterfly. Sophomore Ben Huk (Des Plaines, Ill.-Maine West) rounded out the individual winners for IWU, as he used a strong second half to win the 200 breast.

The Green and White hold 17 top-five times within the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin. Senior Kayleigh Kuschewski (Batavia, Ill.-Batavia) leads the way with four top-five times. She ranks third in the 200 IM, fourth in the 200 breast and 400-yard individual medley, and fifth in the 100 back. With three times sitting near the top of the conference, Porter sits second in the 1650-yard freestyle, third in the 500 free and fifth in the 200 free. IWU has four swimmers with a pair of marks. Junior Sam Borre (Hoffman Estates, Ill.-James B. Conant) ranks third in the 200 back and fourth in the 50-yard backstroke, helping the Titan relay get off to a quick start. Junior Claire Paule (Godfrey, Ill.-Alton) is fourth in the 1000-yard freestyle and fifth in the 1650 free. Schnittker sits fourth in the 100 fly and fifth in the 100 free, and Thomas rounds out the multi-mark group, as his best 1000 free time is third, and ranks fifth in the 200 free. Hoover and Jenkins each hold one time within the top-five. Hoover is fourth in the 200 fly, while Jenkins sits fifth in the 50 back.
