Albin Hauls in CCIW Special Teams Player of the Week Honors

Albin picks up first weekly honor

NAPERVILLE, Ill. - Senior Seth Albin (Midlothian, Ill.-Oak Forest) was recognized as the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Special Teams Player of the Week the league office announced Monday, Sept. 11. It is the first weekly honor of Albin's career.

The senior captain provided a spark on IWU's special teams unit, making the most of his opportunity. The Midlothian, Ill. product corralled a kickoff at the Illinois Wesleyan one yard line and returned it 99 yards for a touchdown in the fourth quarter of the Green and White's season opener against Central.

Albin is the only CCIW student-athlete to return a kickoff for a touchdown this season, while he is one of 13 nationally.

Illinois Wesleyan remains at home this Saturday, Sept. 16, for a CCIW clash against 13th-ranked Wheaton College. Kickoff is set 1 p.m.
