INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -
With the full field of competitors for the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championship released, the Illinois Wesleyan University women's track and field team saw junior Lauren Wong (Morton, Ill.-Morton) and freshman Adriana Crabtree (Normal, Ill.-University High) qualify for the national meet. The duo will travel to Rochester, N.Y., May 25-27 for the championship event.

The announcement comes just hours after Wong and Crabtree were recognized as All-Region awardees by the United States Track & Field & Cross Country Coaches Association. A full list of all-region selections can be viewed by clicking here.

Wong, the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Outdoor champion in both the long and triple jump, earned a trip to New York with her performance in the triple jump. The Morton, Ill. native posted a career-best leap of 11.98 meters, May 12, at the St. Francis Fighting Chance Meet. Her mark currently ranks 17th-best in the country.

Crabtree, the program's first freshman to qualify for the NCAA Championship since 2019, earned a spot by virtue of an impressive showing at the Augustana Midwest Twilight, May 18. She bested a field of 25 runners vying for a national bid, clocking in with a career-best time of 10:43.33. Crabtree's time ranks 10th across all of Division III and broke the school record set by Melinda Sprague in 2006.

The NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championship is scheduled for May 25-27 in Rochester, N.Y. at the Polisseni Track and Field Complex. More information regarding the schedule of events will be posted to iwusports.com closer to the championship.
