FRANKLIN, Ind. - The Illinois Wesleyan University women's golf team ran away with a win at the Franklin Spring Invite Sunday, April 23, winning the tournament with a 23-stroke cushion and placing four in the top-five individually. Playing The Legends Golf Club, IWU carded a 308 on the par-72, 5637-yard course to finish at 613 over two days. It is Illinois Wesleyan's fourth tournament win of the season.

Junior Lexi Onsrud (Normal, Ill.-University High) earned medalist honors, using an even-par 72 to finish five-over for the tournament at 149. It marked the third win of the season for Onsrud, as well as the sixth of her career. Sophomore Jacque O'Neill (Harbor Springs, Mich.-Harbor Springs) took second at 150 (73-77). Junior Emma Thorman (Macomb, Ill.-Macomb) and sophomore Jadyn Spinks (Normal, Ill.-University High) nabbed fourth and fifth, respectively.

Illinois Wesleyan topped the 10-team field, while Augustana placed second with a 636. St. Mary's took third at 655, while IWU's 'B' team finished sixth with a 36-hole score of 677.
