Scott Selected as CCIW’s Special Teams Player of the Week

First weekly award of his career

NAPERVILLE, Ill. - Junior Jahari Scott (Lake Bluff, Ill.-Lake Forest) was named the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Special Teams Player of the Week the league office announced Monday, Oct. 30. It is the first weekly award of his career.

Scott returned six kickoffs for a total of 157 yards, good for 26.2 yards per return against Augustana Saturday, Oct. 28. The highlight of the game came in the third quarter as Scott sped down the field for a 92-yard touchdown return.

Monday's announcement marks the third time this season a Titan has received a league weekly award, as Seth Albin (special teams) and Zach McNees (defense) garnered the accolades earlier this season.

Illinois Wesleyan heads to Naperville, Ill. this weekend, Nov. 4, for a bout at No. 1 North Central College. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
