Career Day Earns Paraday CCIW Field Athlete of the Week

First weekly award in his IWU tenure

NAPERVILLE, Ill. - After a career-best day at the highly competitive Division I meet at Illinois State University this past weekend, the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin announced that senior Cole Paraday (Frankfort, Ill.-Lincoln-Way East) of the Illinois Wesleyan University men's track and field team earned the CCIW Field Athlete of the Week award, Tuesday, April 5.

This is the first weekly CCIW award for Paraday and the men's track and field team this season.

The Frankfort, Ill. native heaved a personal-best in the javelin throw with a distance of 56.67 meters (185' 11") which equated to the second-best mark in Illinois Wesleyan track and field history. The mark currently stands at 19th-best in all of Division III. 

Paraday and the Titans are back in action, Saturday, April 9 as the team will travel to Beloit, Wis. to compete in the Beloit Relays. The first event is slated to begin at 11:30 a.m.
