Miller and Vogler Partake in Pentathlon on Day One of Keck DIII Select

Miller earned the ninth-highest heptathlon score in IWU history

Day 1 Results

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - Junior Kinlee Miller (Tuscola, Ill.-Tuscola) and senior Katie Vogler (Quincy, Ill.-Quincy) represented the Illinois Wesleyan University women's track and field team on day one of the Keck DIII Select Friday night, Feb. 4, inside the Shirk Center. The day saw participants compete in the heptathlon, as well as the pentathlon.

Miller placed second in the 60 meter hurdles (10.09) and high jump (1.40m). Additionally, the Tuscola, Ill. native placed second with a distance of 7.96 meters in the shot put competition. The junior took home a fourth-place finish in the 800, as she crossed with a time of  2:47.48. Miller finished the day with 695 points, a second place finish and the ninth-most points in IWU history.

Vogler finished in fourth place in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 10.70. The Quincy, Ill. native also brought home fourth in the high jump with a distance of 1.31 meters in addition to a fourth-place finish in the shot put with a throw of 7.61 meters. In the 800 meter run, Vogler notched a second-place finish with a time of 2:41.33. In total, the senior notched 587 points in a fourth place finish.

The Titans will be back in action tomorrow morning, Feb. 5, for day two of the Keck DIII Select meet which will feature the rest of the track and field events. The first event is scheduled for 9 a.m. Live results can be found by clicking here.
