BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - Illinois Wesleyan University football senior wide receiver and co-captain Charlie Hamilton (Springfield, Ill.-Sacred Heart-Griffin) reeled in Second Team All-Region honors from D3football.com Wednesday morning, Dec. 7.

Hamilton, who was a First Team All-College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin selection, is the first IWU wide receiver to garner all-region honors since Martin Ceise in 2008.

The Springfield, Ill. native concluded the season with 71 catches for 940 yards, both of which led the conference. He recorded a career-high 10 touchdowns and posted four 100-yard receiving games. He hauled in a career-best 12 catches for 153 yards and a touchdown in Illinois Wesleyan's win over Carroll, Sept. 24. He later hauled in three touchdowns as part of a nine-catch, 106-yard day against Carthage, Oct. 22. In all, he finished with multiple receiving TDs in three games.

Hamilton was recognized as the team's "Offense MVP" as part of the team's annual banquet earlier this week, where he was also the recipient of the "Best Skill" award. He helped lead the Titans to a 6-4 record in 2022, including a 5-1 record at home.
