Women's Golf Tied for Second Midway Through Wartburg Fall Invite

Day One Results

WAVERLY, Iowa - Sophomore Lexi Onsrud (Normal, Ill.-University High) is tied for fourth and the Illinois Wesleyan University women's golf team ranks tied for second after one day of play at the Wartburg Fall Invite. The Titans turned in a 299 on the par-72, 5603-yard Prairie Links Golf Course Saturday, Sept. 11, and are six strokes off the lead ahead of the final round.

Onsrud carded an even par 72 to pace IWU in its first action of the season. Sophomore Emma Thorman (Macomb, Ill.-Macomb) and freshman Macy Ludwig (Effingham, Ill.-St. Anthony) each finished two-over on the day and are tied for 12th.

Leading the team standings is St. Catherine's with a 293. IWU is in second alongside Gustavus Adolphus, while Bethel (301) and Carthage (302) round out the top five, respectively.
