BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - After a dominating performance on Homecoming, junior Conor Murphy (Aurora, Ill.-Metea Valley) of the Illinois Wesleyan University football team was named to the D3football.com Team of the Week Tuesday morning, Oct. 5. Overall, Murphy's selection marks the sixth time the Titans have earned the nod.

Murphy turned in a stellar defensive effort in IWU's 52-3 rout of Elmhurst. He wreaked havoc in the EU backfield, recording three tackles for loss, two and a half sacks, and a total of five tackles. He had a strip sack, while also adding three QB hurries. Murphy and IWU held Elmhurst to just 109 yards of total offense, including just seven yards rushing.

The Titans return to the road this weekend, Oct. 9, with a trip to St. Louis, Mo. to take on Washington University in St. Louis. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m.
