WARRENVILLE, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan University women's and men's cross country teams participated in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin championship Saturday, Oct. 30 at St. James Farm in Warrenville, Ill. The women's team captured fourth place, while the men's team claimed eighth. The women's team competed in a 6K race, while the men battled in the 8K race. 

Seniors Lexie Dorsey (Mahomet, Ill.-Mahomet-Seymour) and Rebekah Harden (Tinley Park, Ill.-Lincoln-Way North) were named to the All-CCIW team with their top-15 finishes. 

Dorsey led the Titans with a ninth-place finish as she crossed the finish line with a time of 22:56.7. Harden clocked in at 23:09.4 to grab 14th-place. Senior Jenna Mirande (Peoria, Ill.-Limestone) and freshman Amanda Wilson (Minooka, Ill.-Minooka) both produced top-25 times of 23:40.4 and 23:52.1 to secure 22nd and 25th place, respectively.

Junior J.D. Barrett (Tuscola, Ill.-Tuscola) turned in the top time for the men's team with a 26:32.3 clip to grab 26th place. Freshman Nick Fisch (Woodridge, Ill.-Montini Catholic) ran a solid race to secure 35th place as he ran a 26:51.5 for the Titans.

For the women, Elmhurst claimed the CCIW team title with 30 points. Wheaton brought home second-place with 75 points. North Central (92 points), Illinois Wesleyan (108 points), and Millikin University (127 points) round out the top-five.

North Central topped the conference with 18 points to win the men's conference title. Augustana finished in second-place with 75 points. Carthage (86 points), Millikin (86 points), and Carroll (136 points) complete the top-five. 

The men's and women's cross country teams look ahead to the NCAA Midwest Regional race Saturday, Nov. 13 at 11 a.m.
