Each Monday an Illinois Wesleyan University professor will be recognized as part of Most Valuable Professor Monday. Professors are chosen by the student-athlete with the top grade point average on each team.

Rob Wuethrich (Bloomington, Ill.-Normal Community) of the IWU men's golf team selected Professor Joseph Solberg, Interim Chair of Business Administration/Visiting Professor of Accounting.

"I loved the real-world examples that he would share along with funny jokes sprinkled throughout the class," Wuethrich said. "What sets him apart from other professors is the care he shows his students outside the classroom as well. I have seen him at more sporting events than any of my other professors which Is something that means so much to us student-athletes! Seeing you out at Ironwood for my home golf tournament meant so much. The times we have talked about different topics at Shirk or around campus have shown other students and me how much you care about what goes on in our lives outside of the classroom."
