BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan University men's and women's track and field teams will compete against College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin rival Millikin University in a dual meet Friday evening, Feb. 21, inside the Shirk Center fieldhouse. Events are slated to begin at 5:15 p.m. This marks the first indoor dual track and field meet for the Titans since Feb. 22, 2014, when IWU hosted Washington University in St. Louis.
Junior Ayana Blair (Wheeling, Ill.-Wheeling HS) ranks third in the CCIW at the shot put with a heave of 44' 3.5" at the Bob Keck D-III Invitational, Saturday, Feb. 8, which is tied for the all-time indoor school record. On the men's side, senior
Colin Orchard (Lindenhurst, Ill.-Lakes Community HS) sits at second in the weight throw with a distance of 54' 5.25", set at last week's Fighting Scots Invite, Saturday, Feb. 15.
In the women's long jump, juniors Cora Wilkinson (Verona, Ill.-Seneca Township HS) and
Nia Lee (Romeoville, Ill.-Romeoville HS) rank second and third in the CCIW with season-best jumps of 17' 11.75" and 17' 9.5", respectively. Freshman
Kinlee Miller (Tuscola, Ill.-Tuscola HS) is currently third in the conference ranks in the triple jump with a distance of 35' 0.25", set at the Bob Keck Invite.
On the track, junior Katie North (Aurora, Ill.-Metea Valley HS) is at the top of the CCIW in the 3000 meter run with a time of 10:34.60 at last week's Fighting Scots Invite. She also ranks second in the 5000 meter run (18:48.19), and sophomore
Lexie Dorsey (Mahomet, Ill.-Mahomet Seymour HS) is currently third in the 5000 meter run (18:50.02).
Freshman Addison Bendery (Chicago, Ill.-Loyola Academy HS) has posted the second-best time in the 60 meter dash in the CCIW, finishing at 7.92 in the Bob Keck Invite. In the women's 800 meter run, junior
Kelsey Wyman (Monmouth, Ill.-Monmouth-Roseville) finished with a time of 2:20.30 at the Bob Keck Invite, good for second in the CCIW.
