BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -- Illinois Wesleyan University will be represented by four female swimmers at the 2019 NCAA Division III Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Championships, which will be held March 20-23 at the Greensboro Aquatic Center in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Freshman
Ellen Gilbert will swim in the 100 and 200 butterfly and the 1650 freestyle and senior
Lisa Cheng will compete in the 50 freestyle, an event in which she placed 13th during the 2018 championships.
The 800 freestyle relay team consisting of Gilbert, Cheng,
Lucy Saucedo and
Megan Wong has the 18th best time nationally (7:35.32) and the fact that the 800 free relay team qualifies enables the Titans to field teams in as many as four more relay teams in the championships.
A total of 579 participants (526 swimmers and 53 divers) will compete in the championships.
