NAPERVILLE, Ill. - Junior Natalie Porter (Danville, Ill.-Danville) of the Illinois Wesleyan University women's swimming and diving team was named the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Swimmer of the Week, announced Tuesday, Jan. 21. It marks Porter's second career weekly accolade and the first for the women's team this season.

The last Titan to acquire the award was in the 2023-24 season when then-junior Hadley Fudge earned it Nov. 14, 2023.

This past week, Porter collected two wins and totaled four top-three finishes in a pair of meets, Jan. 17-18. After placing first in the 200 free (2:04.66) and third in the 100 back (1:07.87), the Danville, Ill. native picked up wins in a tri with Carthage and IIT. Porter won the 500 free with a time of 5:24.06 and added a win in the 1000 free with a time of 10:53.63. Her season-best 1000 free time is the fastest in the CCIW this season by nearly 10 seconds.

Porter received her first weekly accolade Jan. 17, 2023 during her freshman year as she was named the CCIW's Co-Swimmer of the Week alongside Augustana's Zoe Heiar.

Porter and the Titans return to competition at Franklin University, Feb. 1. The meet will take place at Franklin Middle School at 1 p.m. ET.
