KENOSHA, Wis.- A combination of five Titans claimed first-place finishes in the Illinois Wesleyan University men's and women's swimming and diving team's clash with Carthage College and the Illinois Institute of Technology Saturday, Nov. 16. The women's swimming and diving team clinched a 194-77 win over IIT, while falling to Carthage, 177-117. On the men's side, IWU dropped both duals by 203-52 and 192-63 to IIT and Carthage, respectively. 

Sophomore Ellen Gilbert (Northbrook, Ill.-Glenbrook North HS) tallied two event wins in the 1000 yard freestyle and 200 yard butterfly with times of 10:54.71 and 2:12.64. Fellow sophomore Megan Wong (Gurnee, Ill.-Warren Township HS) and freshman Lauren Feddersen (Champaign, Ill.-Centennial HS) added solo wins to put the women's team atop of Illinois Tech. Wong touched in at 2:13.41 in the 200 yard backstroke, while Feddersen clocked in at 2:32.40 in the 200 yard breaststroke. 

Sophomore Mason McCauley (Deerfield, Ill.-Deerfield HS) completed a first-place finish in the 500 yard freestyle with a time of 4:50.96 in losses to Illinois Tech and Carthage.

The Titans are set to host the IWU Invitational Saturday, Nov. 23 at Fort Natatorium with a 10 a.m. first swim.
