Matt Wagner Named MVP for 2018 Illinois Wesleyan Men's Cross Country

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -- Sophomore Matt Wagner was chosen as the "Most Valuable Performer" for the 2018 Illinois Wesleyan men's cross country team while junior Steven Raybould and senior Jon Durr shared the "Hardest Worker" honor and freshman Nathan Witte was chosen as the "Best Newcomer."

Wagner (Palos Heights, Ill. / Marist HS) was Illinois Wesleyan's top finisher in three of the six meets, including a 14th place finish with a time of 25:29 at the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin championships and a 59th place finish with a time of 26:04 in the NCAA Division III Midwest Regional.
