Final Results
KENOSHA, Wis. -- Four Illinois Wesleyan freshmen collected all seven of the first place finishes in a double dual meet involving IWU, Illinois Tech and Carthage College at the Koenitzer Aquatic Center in Kenosha, Wis., on Saturday, Nov. 10.
In the men's competition, Illinois Tech defeated IWU, 169-93, and Carthage topped the Titans, 202-64. In the women's scoring, Illinois Wesleyan defeated Illinois Tech, 180-82, but lost to Carthage, 186-94.
Mason McCauley got first place finishes in the 500 freestyle (4:55.54) and in the 1000 freestyle (10:02.69) while
Ellen Gilbert and
Scout Sanders were double winners for the IWU women. Gilbert won the 100 butterfly (59.82) and the 1000 freestyle (11:08.28) and Sanders was first in the 100 breaststroke (1:08.74) and 200 breaststroke (2:29.58).
Megan Wong got first place in the 200 individual medley with her time of 2:13.68.
What's Next?
The Illinois Wesleyan Invitational is next Saturday, Nov. 17, with the diving beginning at 10 a.m. and the swimming events set to go at 2 p.m.
