BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -- Illinois Wesleyan senior Allie Boudreau has been elected to the first team of the 2015 Capital One Academic All-American® squads for women's track & field/cross country.

Boudreau is the 117th Illinois Wesleyan Academic All-American® since the program began in 1970, a total that is tied for 13th among all participating colleges and universities. The complete list of IWU Academic All-Americans® is available here.

Boudreau (Deerfield, Ill., Deerfield HS) graduated in May with a 3.74 grade-point average as an accounting major.
She was an eight-time indoor and outdoor NCAA All-American after placing second in the heptathlon at the 2015 NCAA Division III championships. She was the national champion in 2015 NCAA D-III pentathlon and set an IWU heptathlon record with her sixth place finish at 2015 Drake Relays, which earned her USTFCCCA Division III "National Athlete of the Week" honors.
Boudreau won both the heptathlon and javelin in the 2015 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin outdoor meet, earning CCIW "Field Athlete of Meet" honors, which she also won in 2013. She was the CCIW "Track Athlete of Meet" in 2014.
In 2014 she was fourth in the NCAA heptathlon (outdoor) and sixth in the NCAA pentathlon.

The 2015 Capital One Academic All-American® women's track & field/cross country teams, selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA), recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom. To be nominated, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.30 cumulative grade-point average (on a 4.0 scale) at their current institution.

This is the fourth year of the expanded Academic All-America® program as CoSIDA moved from recognizing a University Division (Division I) and a College Division (all non Division I) and has doubled the number of scholar-athletes honored. The expanded teams include NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II and NCAA Division III participants, while the College Division Academic All-America® Team combines NAIA, Canadian and two-year schools.

The Capital One Division II and III Academic All-America® program is being financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures, to assist CoSIDA with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2014-15 DII and DIII Academic All-America® teams program.
