Senior cross country captain Lorin Biosca (Wheeling, Ill., Buffalo Grove HS) placed 14th in the 2010 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin championships with a time of 23:21.3 and finished 48th (of 263 runners) in the NCAA Division III Midwest Regional with a time of 22:50.2.
Named as the team's "Best Newcomer" in 2008, she will also be a co-captain for the 2011 IWU women's track team.
A psychology major at Illinois Wesleyan, Lorin is the daughter of Joe Biosca and Debbie Biosca.
Why you chose Illinois Wesleyan: I basically lucked into it by slacking on the college search and only applying to one other school. It turned out wonderfully though.
