Senior Lori Johnson (Bloomington, Ill., Normal Community HS) is a three-year letterwinner in volleyball and (as of Oct. 26) ranked 12th in total blocks and kills in an IWU career as well as seventh in games played at the school.
A business (marketing) major at Illinois Wesleyan, she is the daughter of Tim and Paulette Johnson of Bloomington.

Why you chose Illinois Wesleyan: The people. When I came on my visit everyone was very kind and welcoming, I could really see myself fitting in here.

IWU class you’re most qualified to teach: Probably coaching volleyball, minus the softball portion of the class

Worst grade in a class you ever got – what and when?
Stats and volleyball season just don’t mix well.

I’m deathly afraid of ... : Sharks, it’s a good thing I live in Illinois and we don’t see many of those.

Worst habit: Being a perfectionist

Most expensive traffic ticket: A seatbelt ticket for wearing it “improperly”

Language I’d like to learn: Spanish

Your usual response to “What’s going on?”: “Not Much. How about you?”

Favorite sports figure(s): Rocky.

My greatest moment in sports was: So many! Probably committing to come to IWU to play volleyball.

The best player I ever faced was: This is tough. One who stands out is Hillary [Haen] who is now a setter at the University of Illinois.

Worst dresser on my team: Gaby Johnson… She struggles with clothing. Anyone who knows Gaby would understand what I mean.

Thing that’s been in my fridge the longest: Sweet tea

Person I’m dying to have dinner with: My friends from high school

Favorite food: Probably rice, I eat it with everything

Vegetable I won’t eat: Cauliflower

Pepsi or Coke?: Pepsi

Favorite TV show: Right Now, "Castle"

Favorite musical group: Rascal Flatts

Favorite movie: "The Wedding Date", I’m a sap for romantic comedies

If a movie were made of my life, I would like the following person to play me: Julia Roberts!

The person in history I would most like to meet is: Martin Luther King Jr.

My dream job would be:
Naming nail polish colors or ice cream flavors

Place I’d most like to live: The beach

My possession that would fetch the most on eBay: My car

What I miss most about being in the third grade: That’s easy, recess and no homework.
