Junior Lauren Hansen is a two-year swimming letterwinner at Illinois Wesleyan.
A product of St. Charles, Ill., East High School, Hansen was the 2008 "Most Outstanding Participant " in the CCIW championship meet when she finished third in the 200 butterfly, fourth in the 100 butterfly and swam on the third place 200 medley and 400 free relay teams.
A psychology and Hispanic studies major at Illinois Wesleyan, she is the daughter of Chris and Jane Hansen of St. Charles.

Language I’d like to learn: French. It always sounds so beautiful!

IWU class you’re most qualified to teach: Abnormal Psychology

I’m deathly afraid of ... : WHALES and open bodies of water! Sure, yeah it’s ironic that I’m a swimmer, but they completely freak me out.

Thing that’s been in my fridge the longest: Grape Vitamin Water

Worst habit: Biting my nails! And touching my hair 24/7.

Person I’m dying to have dinner with: Adam Brody (but only if he acts like Seth Cohen from the OC) and Ellen Degeneres!

Most expensive traffic ticket:
$0.00. I am an excellent driver. ?

Vegetable I won’t eat: Tomatoes

Favorite food: Mashed Potatoes

Favorite TV show: So You Think You Can Dance! (Dance, Dance, Dance...)

Your usual response to “What’s going on?”: I wish I was more clever, but I am usually unoriginal in saying “Not much, you?”.

Favorite musical group: Jack Johnson

Favorite movie: Can’t pick just one- Finding Nemo, Mean Girls, and The Changeling

If a movie were made of my life, I would like the following person to play me: Lacey Chabert

The person in history I would most like to meet is: Marilyn Monroe

Worst grade in a class you ever got – what and when? Let’s just say that I did very, very poorly in Gen. Biology. Never again will I take a biology class. I did pass, though.

Favorite sports figure: Natalie Coughlin

My greatest moment in sports was: Winning "Most Outstanding Participant" for CCIW conference meet in 2008.

The best player I ever faced was: Kaylee Jamison- one of my best friends from home. She currently swims Division 1 at Minnesota and is one of their fastest swimmers.

Worst dresser on my team: Gotta go with Tommy Gilbert. I say it with all the love possible, but his wardrobe lacks some serious style.

My possession that would fetch the most on eBay: My purse collection.

Pepsi or Coke?: Neither. Don’t you know that pop is bad for you?

What I miss most about being in the third grade:
When my biggest problem was worrying about which boy was going to chase me on the playground.
