MADISON, Wis. – The Illinois Wesleyan University women's golf team finished day one of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Fall Invite at the 5,662-yard, par-72 TPC Wisconsin. Illinois Wesleyan sits in third place out of the 17-team field with a 319. Pomona-Pitzer holds the lead with 305 to round out day one.
The Green and White is represented by five inside the top-25 of the 94-player field. Senior Nora Cerroni (Waukesha, Wis.-Waukesha North) sits five strokes back from the leader in second-place as an individual in the field. Cerroni went two-over with three birdies to card a 74. Freshman Natalie Ocheltree (Normal, Ill.-University) posted a 77 to hold a share of sixth with junior Gigi Zera (Glenview, Ill.-Loyola Academy), following behind with an 80 to own a tie of 15th.
Rose-Hulman's Lauren Paige Slatton holds the individual lead after an impressive three-under 69 with four birdies. Pomona-Pitzer's Rachel LeMay and Annabelle Chan, alongside IWU's Cerroni, are in second at two-over 74.
