FRISCO, Texas - The Women's Golf Coaches Association released the second of three Fall Coaches Poll, Oct. 23, with the Illinois Wesleyan University women's golf team slotted No. 15 with 236 points. The Titans jumped three spots after its win at the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Championship and two more top-four finishes.

The Green and White enjoyed a successful month since the last ranking, winning its fifth straight CCIW Championship, Oct. 1-3, along with the league's bid to the 2027 NCAA Division III National Championship in May. At the 54-hole championship, junior Grace Fagan (Kirkwood, Mo.-Visitation Academy) took home medalist honors, highlighted by a one-under 70 for a 218 total.

Fall season also saw IWU compete at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater where it placed second out of 17 teams. Working their way around a tough TPC Wisconsin course, freshman Natalie Ocheltree (Normal, Ill.-University) and senior Nora Cerroni (Waukesha, Wis.-Waukesha North) fired 36-hole totals of 155. Illinois Wesleyan placed five Titans inside the top-16 at the invite.

The Titans followed up the win with a fourth-place finish at the Golfweek October Classic in Sandestin, Fla. Illinois Wesleyan sat in seventh place after the first and second rounds before a final round 305 surged IWU up the leaderboard to take fourth. Ocheltree recorded her fourth top-10 finish with a 228, completed with an opening round of 78 and closed with consecutive 75's.

Emory stayed at the top of the poll, taking all 23 first-place nods for 550 total points. NYU jumped Carnegie Mellon with 525 points to sit No. 2. CMU followed in third with 495 points while WashU and Middlebury rounded out the top-five with 431 and 424 points, respectively.

The final fall WGCA Coaches Poll is set to be released Nov. 13. With the fall schedule complete, the Green and White turn its attention to the spring slate, which begins in March 2027.
