Women’s Golf to Kick off Season Close to Home

Opens season at Redbird Invitational

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan Women's golf team will start its season at the Redbird Invitational hosted by Illinois State University in Normal, Ill. The tournament will be held at Weibring Golf Club this Sunday-Monday, Sept 13-14, with tee times at 8:30 a.m. each day. The teams will play 36 holes Sunday and 18 Monday

The Green and White are coming off of a College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin championship and 16th place finish on the national stage in 2025-26

The Titans will be the only Division III team on a slate of Division I opponents including Augusta, Evansville, Northern Illinois, University of South Dakota, Butler, South Dakota State, Denver, Northern Iowa, Illinois State, St. Thomas (Minn.) Eastern Kentucky, and Indiana State.

Illinois Wesleyan will take one team and two individual participants. The Titan starting five will be freshman Natalie Ocheltree (Normal, Ill.- University), senior Emily Gastrau (Wauwatosa, Wis.- Wauwatosa East), juniors Gigi Zera (Glenview, Ill.- Loyola Academy) and Grace Fagan (Kirkwood, Mo.- Visitation Academy), and freshman Merritt Bell (Palatine, Ill.- Fremd). Ocheltree and Bell will be making their collegiate debut. The two individuals will be senior Nora Cerroni (Waukesha, Wis.- Waukesha North) and sophomore Addison Krouse (Effingham, Ill.- St. Anthony).
