KANSAS CITY, Mo. --- United Soccer Coaches announced Friday morning Illinois Wesleyan University women's soccer as a College Team Academic Award winner, recognizing the program for their exemplary performance in the classroom during the 2025-26 academic year. Programs must achieve a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher.
The Titans were one of five College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin women's programs to earn the honor, alongside Carroll, Elmhurst, North Central, and Wheaton. The team posted a 3.57 GPA, while Wheaton posted the highest-grade point average amongst conference schools with 3.69 GPA. IWU was one of 175 schools in the nation to have both its men's and women's programs recognized. Illinois Wesleyan is also one of three CCIW schools to have both their men's and women's programs recognized, alongside North Central and Wheaton.
Illinois Wesleyan is set for their 2026 regular season opener on September 1 against Simpson in Indianola, Iowa at Bill Buxton Stadium with kickoff set for 5 p.m.
