Valenzuela Selected to Coach USA NTD Select Bowl

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - Illinois Wesleyan University head flag football coach Melissa Valenzuela has been selected to coach at the 2026 USA Football National Team Development Select Bowl. The event will take place, Tuesday-Saturday, June 16-20, 2026 in Los Angeles. This is Valenzuela's second straight season coaching at the event.

"I'm delighted to be selected and to coach again at this year's Select Bowl," Valenzuela said. "USA Football is shaping and growing the best players and coaches in flag football. To be a part of that journey for an athlete is immensely rewarding. And it is an honor to work alongside some of the best coaches in the sport."

The Select Bowl is a premier platform for elite athletes from across the country to showcase their skills with only the top 48 athletes in each age group qualifying for the event. Only 16 coaches get invited from across the country.
