Titans Wrap up 2025-26 season

DUBUQUE, Iowa. - Illinois Wesleyan University men's wrestling junior Austin Johnston (Normal, Ill.-Normal West) earned sixth place and freshman Tyson Zvonar (Frankfort, Ill.-Lincoln-Way East) placed eighth at the NCAA Division III Men's Wrestling Regional VI meet hosted by Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa.

A day removed from collecting his 50th career win, Johnston began day two needing just 4:34 to book a 7-0 pin over Nebraska Wesleyan's Robbie Fisher in the consolation quarterfinals. Johnson closed his penultimate season at 18-8.

Zvonar ended his stellar freshman campaign with a 23-11 record at 133 pounds and an eighth-place finish at the regional to go along with earning all-conference honors earlier this season.

Illinois Wesleyan concludes its season with the best finishes in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin and regional tournaments since the program restarted in 2023-24. The Titans are expected to return their entire roster for the 2026-27 campaign.
