Wrestling Announces 2026-27 Slate

Season begins Nov. 1 at the Luther Hill Invitational

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan University Director of Wrestling Adam Richards announced the 2026-27 schedule, Monday, Sept. 7. The calendar consists of 15 regular season competitions for the men and 13 for the women.

Both teams start at the Luther Hill Invitational in Indianola, Iowa, Sunday, Nov. 1 before returning home, Sunday, Nov. 8 for a meet against Millikin University, who enters its inaugural season on the women's side. The Titans round out November with four road dates beginning at last year's third place finisher at the NCAA NC Women's Wrestling Championships and last year's 13th place finisher at the NCAA DIII Men's Wrestling Championships, North Central, Tuesday, Nov. 10, the Millikin Open, Saturday, Nov. 14, and at Blackburn, Nov. 19. They trek up to Eau Claire, Wis. for the Eight Man/Woman Battles, a meet where a total of 11 Titans placed in 2025, Saturday, Nov. 21.

A two-competition December begins at home against Augustana, Friday, Dec. 4 at 6 p.m. along with the North Central Invite, Saturday, Dec. 12 and Sunday, Dec. 13. Both squads head to the Fred Johnson Duals, Saturday, Jan. 2 and the women take on the NWCA National Duals, Friday-Saturday, Jan. 8-9 to open the new calendar year. 

After the Cliff Keen-Mike Duroe Invitational on Saturday, Jan. 16 at Cornell College, the Shirk Center plays host to the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Women's Wrestling Championships, Sunday, Jan. 24. The women's regular season rounds out at Eureka, Jan. 31 and at the QC DIII Invitational at Augustana, Feb. 6-7 before the NCAA Regional, Feb. 19-20.

On the men's side, additional regular season dates include the Sokol Duals in Dubuque, Iowa, Saturday, Dec. 19, the CCIW Duals, Saturday, Jan. 23, and a dual meet at Simpson, Friday, Jan 29. IWU celebrates senior day, Thursday, Jan. 14 against Concordia-Wisconsin. Action at the Shirk Center is scheduled for 7 p.m. Postseason competition begins at the CCIW Championships in Rock Island, Ill., Saturday, Feb. 13 and continues at the NCAA Regional, Feb. 26-27.
