BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - D3Hoops.com named Illinois Wesleyan University men's basketball sophomore
Noah Cleveland (Normal, Ill.-Normal Community) to its Team of the Week, announced Monday night, Feb. 9. It is the third time this season that Cleveland has landed the weekly national award.Â
Cleveland's three honors this season ties the most by a Titan in a single season. Matthew Leritz reeled in the award four times in his career and three times during the 2021-22 campaign.Â
Cleveland recorded an incredibly efficient week on the offensive end, playing a team-high 69 minutes in two wins and shooting 71.4 percent (20-of-28) from the floor. In wins over Wheaton and Elmhurst, Feb. 4-7, Cleveland averaged 22 points, 11 rebounds, and six assists.Â
In a 82-71 win over Wheaton Wednesday, Feb. 4, Cleveland nearly recorded a triple-double with 12 points, and career-highs in rebounds (17) and assists (nine). On Saturday, Feb. 7, in a commanding 91-69 win over Elmhurst, Cleveland led the Titans with 32 points which marked his third 30+ point showing of the season.Â
IWU takes a short drive south to Decatur, Ill. Wednesday, Feb. 11 for a matchup with Millikin University. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m.
