BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The Illinois Wesleyan University women's soccer team hits the road Wednesday, Oct. 7 for a midweek matchup against Elmhurst University at Langhorst Field. Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m.

The Titans remain unbeaten going into their third College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin contest. IWU came back from a 1-nil deficit late in the second half, Oct. 3 to beat Carthage College, 2-1, on Homecoming. Sophomore Zoe Kormah (Pekin, Ill.-Pekin Community) scored her first goal of the season to tie the contest with ten minutes left. Four minutes later, junior Liza Wiley (Bloomington, Ind.-Home School) buried the game-winner to lift the Titans over the Firebirds.

Illinois Wesleyan is 5-0-5 (1-0-1 CCIW) going into Wednesday's contest. The Titans will face a Bluejays squad that owns an 8-3 overall ledger and a 1-1 CCIW mark. EU grabbed a 2-0 win over Augustana College in its CCIW opener, but fell to No. 13 NCC in last Saturday's contest, 2-1.

The Titans lead the all-time series over Elmhurst, 24-6-1, while holding onto an 11-3 away record at Langhorst Field. However, the last time the Green and White made the trip to Elmhurst, Ill., the  Bluejays took the 1-0 win to break IWU's 12-game winning streak against EU in 2024. Last season, Illinois Wesleyan posted a 3-1 win in Bloomington.

The Titans average 2.2 goals per game, good for third in the conference, with Wiley leading the league with 4.0 shots per game. Elmhurst follows close behind with an average of 2.1 goals per contest.  Defensively, the Bluejays hold their opponents to a 0.64 average, tied for second-lowest in the CCIW with Carroll. EU also tops the CCIW with 247 shots and 78 corner kicks.

Wednesday night's action begins at 7 p.m. in Elmhurst, Ill. at Langhorst Field. Live coverage, including live stats and the live stream on the CCIW Network, can be accessed here.
