BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – The Illinois Wesleyan University women's soccer team (8-2-5, 4-1-1 CCIW) will host Wheaton College (4-9-3, 3-2-2 CCIW) in a Saturday doubleheader, Oct. 24, starting at 1 p.m. The men's game will follow at 3:30 p.m.

The Titans remain undefeated at home (6-0) with their win against Augustana College Wednesday night, Oct. 21. Illinois Wesleyan clinched a spot in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Tournament with its 3-nil win over the Vikings, with the help of Vanessa Gray (Burlington, Ontario, Canada-Dr. Frank J. Hayden), Peyton McMahon (Lakewood, Ill.-Crystal Lake Central), and Liza Wiley (Bloomington, Ind.-Home School).

The Thunder travel to Bloomington with a 4-9-3 record, sitting at 3-2-2 in CCIW play. WC travelled to Naperville Wednesday night and fell 3-1 to North Central College. Wheaton holds the all-time series lead over the Titans 32-7-7, with IWU having a 3-12-1 record against the Thunder at Neis Field. The two tangled twice last season, once in the regular season and then again in the CCIW Tournament quarterfinals. After a scoreless draw earlier in the year, the two played to a 1-1 tie at Neis in the quarters. The Thunder ultimately went on to advance via penalty kicks. IWU is looking for its first win over Wheaton since Oct. 9, 2024, when the Titans hosted the Thunder at home.

The Thunder's Calah Strong tops the conference with 62 shots, averaging 3.88 per game heading into the weekend. Wiley follows close behind with an average of 3.73 shots per game, tallying 56 shots so far this season. Junior Ellen Dahlquist (Peoria, Ill.-Peoria Notre Dame) leads the CCIW in assists with seven, with classmate Taylor Haun (Metamora, Ill.-Metamora Township) in second with six.

The Titans are set to kickoff at 1 p.m. against the Thunder. Live coverage of the event can be accessed here.
