BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - After enjoying back-to-back weekends at home to begin the 2026 portion of their seasons, the Illinois Wesleyan University men's and women's swimming and diving teams will hit the road, as the Titans travel to Wabash College for dual action Saturday, Jan. 24. The men's team will take on Wabash, and both sides will compete against Division I Valparaiso University.

The Green and White last competed Friday, Jan. 16, taking on Millikin University and Illinois College in a double-dual inside Fort Natatorium. The women's team walked away with two wins, while both teams combined for 11 individual victories. Senior Kayleigh Kuschewski (Batavia, Ill.-Batavia) hauled in two wins on the night, as she claimed first place in the 200-yard individual medley (2:20.08) and the 100-yard breaststroke (1:13.72). Freshman Abby Schnittker (Lombard, Ill.-Willowbrook) also tallied two, as she was victorious in the 200-yard freestyle behind a career-best time of 2:03.86, and the 100-yard butterfly (1:02.41). Sophomore Ben Huk (Des Plaines, Ill.-Maine West) notched wins in the 100-yard freestyle and 100 breast with times of 51.59 and 1:04.37, respectively. Rounding out the multiple event winners, sophomore Tate Thomas (Joliet, Ill.-Joliet West) led the 200 free (1:51.80) and the 500-yard freestyle (5:03.86).

Illinois Wesleyan holds nine top-five times in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin entering the weekend. Senior Natalie Porter (Danville, Ill.-Danville) ranks third in the 1650-yard freestyle and fourth in the 500 free. Also with two top-five times, Schnittker sits fourth in the 100 fly and fifth in the 100 free. Junior Sam Borre (Hoffman Estates, Ill.-James B. Conant) holds the fourth-best 50-yard backstroke and 200-yard backstroke times. Freshman Ellen Hoover (Naperville, Ill.-Naperville Central) is fourth in the 200-yard butterfly, and Kuschewski is fifth in the 200-yard breaststroke. Thomas rounds out the Titans in the top-five with the fourth-best time in the 1000-yard freestyle.

IWU has faced the Little Giants 14 previous times dating back to 2011. Last year, the Titans claimed seven top-three times against Wabash. The Green and White will take on Valparaiso for the first time on both sides.
