BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - Illinois Wesleyan University women's soccer sophomore Liza Wiley (Bloomington, Ind.-Home School) was named the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Offensive Player of the Week, as announced by the league office Tuesday, Sept. 16. It is the first weekly award of her career and the first by a Titan since the 2022 season.

Wiley guided the Titans to two wins this week, pushing the Green and White over the .500 mark at 3-2-0 on the season. Wiley ended the week with a total of six points on two goals and two assists. Wiley scored the Titans' first goal of the game in their 5-1 win over Monmouth College Wednesday, Sept. 10, after she gathered a volley from Ellen Dahlquist and put the ball away in the 29th minute. In the second half, Wiley assisted goals by Sophie Lampert and Dahlquist to lead the Green and White to a victory.

In a 2-1 win over Wartburg Sunday, Sept. 14, Wiley again scored the first goal of the game less than six minutes in after she rocketed a ball over the Knights' goalkeeper from 25 yards out. Wiley's honor marks the first time since Oct. 25, 2022 that a Titan has won the weekly award, when current assistant coach Caelyn Bieterman (nee Steffens) was named CCIW Offensive Player of the Week.

The Titans travel to Fulton, Mo. for their next contest, Wednesday, Sept. 17, against Westminster (Mo.). Match time is set for 6 p.m.
