NORTHBROOK, Ill. - Illinois Wesleyan University seniors Sam Kedzior (Cary, Ill.-Cary Grove) and Adriana Crabtree (Normal, Ill.-University High) were recognized as part of the Allstate NACDA Good Works Fall Team nominees Tuesday morning, Aug. 5. Kedzior, a goalkeeper on the IWU men's soccer team, and Crabtree, a standout on the Titan cross country and track & field programs, were two of 128 nominees across NCAA Division I, II, and III to be recognized.

"These student-athletes represent the kind of leadership that strengthens communities across the country and prove that purpose and impact go hand in hand with athletic excellence," said Elizabeth Brady, Allstate's chief marketing, customer and communications officer.

The inaugural Allstate NACDA Good Works Team (Fall), recognizes male and female student-athletes across all divisions and sports who go above and beyond in their commitment to community service, academic achievement and athletic performance. Since the program expanded to include all sports midway through last academic year, Illinois Wesleyan has seen a College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin-leading total of five student-athletes recognized.

Kedzior, a captain on the men's soccer team, has been heavily involved with IWU's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. He has worked and led countless 50/50 raffles in support of St. Jude's and the Special Olympics. Kedzior is a multiple time participant in the Polar Plunge in support of Special Olympics and has also been part of SOAR nights as a volunteer. He has spent his time assisting several organizations including Western Avenue Community Center, Sugar Creek Special Care Center, Holy Trinity, and others. Additionally, Kedzior has served as a tutor for individuals and groups of high school and college students, collected food donations for the local food pantry, and cleaned up along the Constitution Trail.

Crabtree, a two-time NCAA qualifier in cross country, has also served in support of IWU's SAAC. She has continually been involved in efforts to collect food donations through a Trick or Treat for Canned Goods initiative and has also helped with countless Million Meal Pack events. In addition to working with Special Olympics and St. Jude's, Crabtree has been heavily involved with the Kiwanis Club. She has volunteered with pancake breakfasts, Mother's Day flower sales, and luggage delivery and return at Camp Limberlost.

A distinguished selection committee of athletics directors, former athletes and industry leaders will choose the final 20-member team — 10 female and 10 male student-athletes — set to be announced August 26. One student captain will also be named to represent the group. Click here to view the full list of nominees for the 2025-26 Allstate NACDA Good Works Team (Fall).

Announced in December, the Allstate NACDA Good Works Team now recognizes 60 student-athletes annually across fall, winter and spring seasons, surpassing more than 500 nominees during its first year. Among the honorees are student-athletes like Penn State golfer Jami Morris, who launched Hit Fore Hope, a cancer research fundraiser, and Auburn gymnast Sophia Groth, who supported student parents through nonprofit advocacy with Baby Steps – both recognized as team captains for their leadership and dedication.
