BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - With the 2025 season in the rearview, Illinois Wesleyan University head baseball coach Michael Kellar announced the team award winners, along with the letter winners Thursday, June 19. A total of 35 Titans earned a letter in Kellar's first season at the helm.
Headlining the awards were senior Justin Gadomski (Schaumburg, Ill.-Schaumburg) and junior
Jake Pullam (Palatine, Ill.-Palatine). Gadomski was tabbed as the team's Most Outstanding Player, while Pullam earned Most Outstanding Pitcher honors. Senior
Tyler Woltman (Wheaton, Ill.-Wheaton North) was voted Best Defensive Player, and freshman
Matt Hudik (Frankfort, Ill.-Lincoln-Way East) was cited as the team's Top Newcomer.
A D3baseball.com Third Team All-American, Gadomski concluded his career with a stellar senior campaign. Gadomski led the nation and established a new single season program record with 26 doubles, while leading the team with 74 hits and 44 runs in a team-high 194 at bats. The everyday shortstop for the Titans started all 43 games this season, and finished third on the team with 40 runs batted in. A First Team All-College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin selection for the second straight season, Gadmoski posted a .381 batting average, .629 slugging percentage, and a .419 on-base percentage.
Leading the pitching squad all season, Pullam put on a show during his junior year that saw him earn his first American Baseball Coaches Association/Rawlings All-Region honor, being named to the third team, as well as collecting his first All-CCIW award. He was a first team league honoree and a candidate for the CCIW Pitcher of the Year award. Pullam led the team with a 2.65 earned run average, as well as notching a team-best seven wins with an unblemished 7-0 record. His 53 strikeouts tied for the team-high, while he recorded the second-most innings pitched (57.2). Pullam limited opponents to a .223 batting average en route to scattering 46 hits for 17 earned runs.
Regarded as one of the best catchers in the CCIW, Woltman earned best defensive honors for his work behind the plate for the Green and White. The senior appeared in 40 games, making 37 starts, and had a knack for throwing opponents out trying to steal bases on him, as he threw out 17 runners attempting to steal throughout the season. Woltman finished second on the squad with 239 putouts, and added 34 hits, 24 RBI, and 23 runs scored.
Hudik worked his way into becoming IWU's starting center fielder in his first year donning the Green and White, leading him to the top newcomer award. Appearing in 35 games with 31 starts, Hudik led the team with 27 walks, and recorded 37 hits in 109 at bats this season. The freshman drove in 20 runs and scored 29 himself, finishing with a .339 batting average, and a .475 on-base percentage.
