NAPERVILLE, Ill. - After winning the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Regular Season Championship, the Illinois Wesleyan baseball team reeled in eight All-CCIW honors and one specialty award as the league office announced its postseason honors Tuesday, May 6. It marks the most all-conference selections for the Titans in a season since nine were named in 2008.

In his first year directing the program, head coach Michael Kellar was named the CCIW Coach of the Year, as he led the Green and White to a 16-4 mark in conference play. The Titans earned their first CCIW Regular Season Championship since 2013.

Three Titans secured First Team All-CCIW honors, as seniors Justin Gadomski (Schaumburg, Ill.-Schaumburg) and Cade Tomhave (Pittsfield, Ill.-Pittsfield), as well as junior Jake Pullam (Palatine, Ill.-Palatine) each earned the accolade. Seniors Jimmy Gurgone (Mokena, Ill.-St. Laurence) and Tyler Woltman (Wheaton, Ill.-Wheaton North), juniors Jack Flagg (River Forest, Ill.-Oak Park River Forest) and Gage Wolfe (Bloomington, Ill.-Bloomington), along with sophomore John Philip Ferraro (Oak Park, Ill.-Oak Park River Forest) were all named to the All-CCIW Second Team. Senior William Duff (Western Springs, Ill.-St. Ignatius) was IWU's recipient of the CCIW RESPECT award.

A repeat member of the All-CCIW First Team, Gadomski has been a standout offensive force this season. The senior ranks third in the conference with a batting average of .402, and his stellar 1.108 OPS sits second. In 20 starts, he racked up 37 hits, the most in the conference, doing so in 92 at-bats. Gadomski also leads the league in doubles with 15, and has added a triple, and three home runs in conference play. He drove in 17 runs, scored a league-leading 24 times, and stole three bases on three attempts.

Tomhave saved his best season for last, as he earns all-conference honors for the first time in his career. The Pittsfield, Ill. native has delivered a well-rounded offensive season, hitting .366 with a .942 OPS, with both marks ranking top-15 in the CCIW. In 20 games, he tallied 30 hits, the sixth-most in the conference, including three doubles, a triple, and two homers. He led the team and sits second in the league with 25 RBIs, as well as going a perfect 5-for-5 in stolen bases, demonstrating both his power and speed.

Reeling in his first All-CCIW accolade, Pullam has been a dominant presence on the mound this season, boasting an impressive 2.27 ERA and a 0.99 WHIP over 31.2 innings pitched. His ERA ranks fourth in the CCIW, while his 30 strikeouts are the fifth-most by a pitcher this season. With a perfect 3-0 record across seven appearances, five of which he started, Pullam has consistently shut down opposing offenses, allowing just 21 hits and eight earned runs. His .193 batting average against is the fourth-best mark in the CCIW.

Earning his first career All-CCIW honor, Gurgone has been a staple for the Titans all season. The senior is batting .302 in conference play, and has an OPS of .796. In 86 at-bats, he tallied 26 hits, tied for 11th-most in the conference, including three doubles and three home runs, while driving in 17 runs and scoring 17 times himself. He also added four stolen bases.

One of IWU's best defensive players, Woltman earned his second straight second team all-conference honor. The senior catcher threw out nine runners attempting to steal over 19 games behind the plate. At the plate, Woltman added 15 hits in 61 at-bats, good for a .246 batting average. He added one double, a home run, and 10 RBIs alongside six walks.

Flagg collects his first CCIW honor with his second team distinction. The junior has been a key contributor at the plate, batting .375 with a .939 OPS over 20 games. He recorded 24 hits in 64 at-bats, including four doubles and two home runs, while knocking in 18 runs and crossing home himself 17 times. Flagg also displayed his two-way ability, as he logged 7.0 innings on the mound in CCIW action, striking out two while scattering seven hits. Flagg pitched 4.0 innings against Wheaton April 19, earning the win.

Wolfe garners his first all-conference honor in his first season donning the Green and White. The junior transfer has been a consistent and dependable presence, batting .333 across all 20 games. He contributed 26 hits, including five doubles, and drove in 11 runs while scoring 13.

Ferraro, who earns All-CCIW for the second time in his career, brings significant power to the lineup, hitting .354 with an outstanding 1.081 OPS, a mark that ranks sixth in the conference. In just 18 games, the sophomore launched four home runs and added six doubles among his 23 hits. He drove in 20 runs, leaving him tied for fifth in the CCIW.
