Swim and Dive Embarks on First Road Trip of Season at Monmouth Invite

Action set to begin at 1 p.m. inside Pepper Natatorium

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - The Illinois Wesleyan University men's and women's swimming and diving teams will embark on their first road trip of the season, as the Titans head to Monmouth College to partake in the Monmouth Invite Saturday, Nov. 1. Action is set to begin at 1 p.m. inside Pepper Natatorium. 

The Green and White return to the pool after opening the season at the IWU Halloween Invite Saturday, Oct. 25. Illinois Wesleyan brought home seven first-place finishes, as the women's side notched a runner-up performance, finishing just eight points behind Augustana College. 

On the women's side, the Titans took first in the 3x100-yard butterfly relay and 3x100-yard backstroke relay. Individually, senior Natalie Porter (Danville, Ill.-Danville) touched first in the 200-yard and 500-yard freestyle, while senior Kayleigh Kuschewski (Batavia, Ill.-Batavia) claimed first in the 200-yard breaststroke, and junior Sam Borre (Hoffman Estates, Ill.-James B. Conant) posted a win in the 200 back. The men's team saw sophomore Tate Thomas (Joliet, Ill.-Joliet West) finish first in the 200 free to complete a Titan sweep in the mid-length event. 

This will mark the Green and White's first appearance at the Monmouth Invite, as the Titans will take on MC, Grinnell College, and Illinois College. Monmouth will be providing a live stream of the event, which can be found here
