BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - After a three-meet home slate, the Illinois Wesleyan University's men's and women's swim and dive team will compete on the road against Franklin College, Saturday, Feb. 1. The meet will start at 1 p.m. ET at Franklin Middle School in Franklin, Ind.

The women last competed Jan. 18 in a Triangular against Illinois Institute of Technology and College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin foe Carthage College. Junior Natalie Porter (Danville, Ill.-Danville) finished first in two events, the 500-yard freestyle (5:24.06), and the 1000-yard freestyle (10.53.63). Her two event swims plus an excellent showing in the Tri the day before were good enough to vote her for CCIW Women's Swimmer of the Week Tuesday, Jan. 21.

The men's most recent competition was against Wabash College, Jan. 24. Senior Carter Dilger (Sellersburg, Ind.-Jeffersonville) nabbed two runner-up spots in the meet in the 200-yard individual medley (2:02.51), and the 500-yard freestyle (5:00.60), good for two personal-best times this season.

Illinois Wesleyan and Franklin have had a long-standing relationship dating back to the 2015-16 season. For the men, Franklin takes the all-time record against IWU going 8-0, while the women's overall record is 1-6-1 with the tie coming from the teams first meeting in 2016 (111-111).

The Titan's and the Grizzlies last met in Bloomington, Ill. where Franklin took home two wins with a 219-74 win on the women's side and a 177-104 score on the men's side.

The results will be posted on the IWUsports.com schedule page after the duration of the meet.
