Roper Named to Bevo Francis Top-100 Watch List

Lone CCIW representative on the list

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Illinois Wesleyan University men's basketball senior Nick Roper (St. Louis, Mo.-MICDS) was the lone College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin student-athlete named to the Bevo Francis Top-100 Watch List announced by Small College Basketball Wednesday, Jan. 15.

Through 15 games, Roper is Illinois Wesleyan's leading scorer and has established himself as one of the best players in the CCIW as well as Division III. A Preseason D3hoops.com All-American, Roper is leading IWU with 16.1 points per game on 48.0 shooting from the field. He is second on the team with 5.2 rebounds per contest and tied for second with 17 steals.

This season, Roper has put up four 20-point showings and has reached double figures in 10 of Illinois Wesleyan's 15 games. He has also posted one double-double.

Roper has helped guide the Titans to a 13-2 overall record, including a 5-1 CCIW mark, as well as a No. 6 national ranking. Illinois Wesleyan travels to Millikin University tonight, Jan. 15, for a 7 p.m. tipoff inside the Griswold Center.
