NAPERVILLE, Ill. - Senior Lauren Huber (Lombard, Ill.-Glenbard East) was recognized as the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Player of the Week Monday, Jan. 13, earning the honor for the second time this season. Huber guided the second-ranked Illinois Wesleyan University women's basketball team to a pair of league wins, Jan. 8-11, en route to the seventh conference weekly award of her career.

Huber averaged 17.0 points per game on 13-of-21 shooting (61.9 percent) to lead Illinois Wesleyan to wins over Augustana and North Central. She added 5.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.0 steals, and 0.5 blocks per game over the two-game stretch while going 7-for-7 at the free throw line.

Playing just 17 minutes in a lopsided win over Augustana, Jan. 12, Huber scored 11 points and grabbed seven rebounds, tying for the team-lead in both categories. She went 4-for-7 from the field and 1-for-2 from beyond the arc as the Titans limited Augie to just 38 points. The Vikings' point total is the fewest since IWU held Concordia (Wis.) to 38 in November of 2022 and is the lowest point total by a CCIW opponent since Feb. 12, 2009 when IWU throttled AC, 90-33.

The Lombard, Ill. native finished the week off with a 23-point showing in a tight win over North Central, Jan. 11, becoming just the third player in program history to clear 1500 career points. Huber added two assists, a block, and a steal alongside 9-of-14 shooting and a 5-for-5 effort at the free throw line. She scored eight of her 23 points in the fourth quarter to hold off NCC's upset bid and propel IWU to 15-0 on the season, 6-0 in conference play.

Huber and the Titans host Carthage College Wednesday night, Jan. 15. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. inside the Shirk Center.
