Game set for Sunday, Oct. 27

8/8/2024 10:48:00 AM

CHICAGO - The Illinois Wesleyan University men's basketball team will challenge another NCAA Division I program prior to the start of the 2024-25 campaign, as DePaul University announced it will host the Titans in an exhibition game Sunday, Oct. 27, at Wintrust Arena in Chicago.

The Green and White, the 2024 College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Regular Season Champions, are no strangers to NCAA Division I competition. Last season, IWU battled Illinois State and Northern Illinois in exhibition games, while the Titans have also battled Illinois-Chicago, Bradley, Southern Illinois, and Illinois in recent years.

Illinois Wesleyan returns several key pieces from last season's conference championship squad, including First Team All-CCIW and all-region performer Nick Roper and Second Team All-CCIW picks Hakim Williams and Harrison Wilmsen. Ron Rose's squad welcomes back its top two leading-scorers and its top-three rebounders from the 2023-24 campaign.

More details about the exhibition game between the Titans and Blue Demons will be made available closer to the date of competition.
