United Soccer Coaches Release

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Illinois Wesleyan University women's soccer team was recognized as a United Soccer Coaches College Team Academic Award honoree for the 2023-24 academic year, the organization announced its selections Thursday, August 1. 

In order to be eligible for the award, programs must hold a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale. The Green and White boasted a 3.38 GPA to earn the distinction and join the list alongside 237 women's programs across all divisions. 

The College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin had representation on the women's side from Illinois Wesleyan and Wheaton College. The Titan men's squad also earned the Team Academic Award, making IWU one of 102 schools to have both men's and women's programs recognized for academic excellence.
