NAPERVILLE, Ill. - A total of 83 Illinois Wesleyan University student-athletes were named to the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin's Dave Wrath Academic All-Conference team Friday afternoon, April 12. Senior men's swimmer Ethan Lowder (Bloomington, Ill-Normal Community) and junior women's basketball standout Lauren Huber (Lombard, Ill.-Glenbard East) were tabbed as IWU's recipients of the Jack Swartz award.

The CCIW Academic All-Conference list comprises those individuals that achieved an overall grade-point average of 3.30 or above and have served at least one year in residency at their respective school.

Additionally, the CCIW announced all of the recipients of the Jack Swartz Academic All-Conference award. Each CCIW member institution selects two student-athletes (one male & one female) from each of the three sport seasons (fall, winter, spring) to be honored as Jack Swartz Academic All-Conference members. To be eligible, an individual must have an overall grade point average of 3.50 or above and have served at least one year in residency at their respective school.

Lowder, a three-time Elite 26 Award honoree, secured a second-place finish in the 50-yard freestyle at the CCIW Championship with a time of 20.95 to garner All-CCIW recognition. The Bloomington, Ill. native was one of four to help break the 200-yard medley relay school record with a time of 1:33.94.

Huber, a WBCA All-America Honorable Mention, helped lead the Titans to a CCIW Regular Season title and NCAA Tournament appearance. Huber was a First Team All-CCIW honoree for the third straight year and also garnered D3hoops.com Team of the Week, D3hoops.com Preseason All-American, and D3hoops.com First Team All-Region accolades. She led the team with 15.6 points per game and 8.1 rebounds per contest. She held a field goal percentage of 51.2 percent with a 45.5 three-point field goal percentage and a 78.8 clip from the free throw line.

Lowder and Huber joined Brody Seaton (men's soccer) and Emma Thorman (women's golf) as this year's Jack Swartz Award recipients from IWU.
