Justin Gadomski (Schaumburg, Ill.-Schaumburg) received CCIW Hitter of the Week honors Monday afternoon, April, 1. It is the first weekly award of Gadomski's career, while it is the fourth for the Titans this season.Â
Gadomski had a lead role in the series sweep against Carroll this past weekend. The Schaumburg, Ill. native started the scoring streak in the first game on Saturday with a monster home run into left-center before making crucial defensive plays to keep the Titans in the lead during game two. With eight putouts and 10 assists, Gadomski kept the Titans in the game while also hitting a .500 batting average during the week along with a pair of two-baggers.Â
Going 7-for-14 on the week, Gadomski started in all four games and notched a slugging percentage of .857. With two essential sacrifice flies, Gadomski was able to help the Titans into extra innings against Carroll to eventually win the game by one run.Â
Gadomski currently sits second in doubles and fourth in slugging percentage in the conference as well as sixth in hits and seventh in overall batting average.
The Titans are back in CCIW action Wednesday, April 3, at Elmhurst University. First pitch is set for 3 p.m.
