NAPERVILLE, Ill. - Four members of the Illinois Wesleyan University women's basketball team landed on the All-College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin teams announced Monday afternoon, Feb. 19. IWU's four selections were the most of any conference school.

Juniors Lauren Huber (Lombard, Ill.-Glenbard East) and Mallory Powers (Amboy, Ill.-Amboy) were voted First Team All-CCIW, while junior Kate Palmer (Geneva, Ill.-Geneva) and sophomore Ava Bardic (Lincolnshire, Ill.-Stevenson) garnered Second Team All-CCIW status. Caite Knutson (Maryville, Ill.-Collinsville) repeated as IWU's recipient of the CCIW RESPECT Award.

Huber received First Team All-CCIW honors for the third straight season, while Powers, Palmer, and Bardic reeled in league honors for the first time in their careers.

One of the most efficient players in the conference, Huber averaged 14.2 points per game over the conference slate. She added 6.9 rebounds per contest, eighth-best in the league. Huber's field goal percentage of 52.3 is fifth-best in the conference, while her free throw percentage (79.6) ranks eighth. The Lombard, Ill. native added 2.0 assists and 1.4 steals per game.

Powers ranked second on the team in scoring in league play, going for 13.2 points per contest. A multi-tool player, Powers is second in the CCIW in assist-to-turnover ratio (1.9), while sitting fourth in three-point field goal percentage (38.8) and three-pointers made per game (1.9). She pulled in a team-high 7.3 rebounds per contest, seventh-best in the CCIW, while also adding 2.1 steals per game.

An elite defender, Palmer has been a consistent force for the Titans on both ends of the floor this season. Over 16 CCIW games, she averaged 12.9 points, 2.5 assists, and 1.7 three-pointers made per contest. Palmer shot 40.3 percent from beyond the arc, good for third-best in the league, while her assist-to-turnover ratio is one of the best in Division III. For the season, she owns a 2.96 ratio, which ranks ninth nationally. On the defensive end, Palmer has routinely been tasked with guarding the opposition's top offensive threat. She has done an exceptional job, holding all but one assignment below their season scoring average.

Bardic, a clear candidate for the newcomer of the year award if transfers were eligible under the league's new rules, is amid a strong first season donning the Green and White. An undeniable threat from beyond the arc, Bardic averaged 10.7 points per game in her first CCIW season. She added 26 assists and 24 steals, to go along with nine rejections.

Illinois Wesleyan, the No. 1 seed in this week's CCIW Tournament, will return to action Thursday, Feb. 22, in the semifinal round of the league tournament. IWU will play in the 7:15 p.m. bout, while second-seeded Carroll University will play at 5 p.m.
