BLOOMINGTON, Ill. -
Illinois Wesleyan University senior women's basketball standout Lauren Huber (Lombard, Ill.-Glenbard East) was named to the D3hoops.com Team of the Week Monday evening, Dec. 2, for games played Nov. 25-Dec. 1. It is the fourth national team of the week selection of Huber's career and marks the first by a Titan since Caite Knutson was recognized last season.

With the fourth D3hoops Team of the Week award of her career, Huber passes Kendall Sosa for the program's career record. Sosa earned national recognition three times in her storied career, with them all coming in 2021.

Huber was a key piece of a balanced week that saw the Titans secure three wins away from home, including two top-15 triumphs to improve to 6-0 on the season. The senior co-captain averaged 17.7 points per game along with 7.7 rebounds and 4.3 assists per contest over a three-game stretch. She shot 50 percent from the floor and from three-point range, while handing out a team-high 13 assists.

Huber's week began with 15 points, nine rebounds, and five assists in IWU's win over then-No. 3 UW-Whitewater, Nov. 26. She followed that up with a casual 14-point, seven-rebound showing against DePauw in the Titans' first game of the Midwest Challenge, Nov. 30. Huber tacked on four assists in IWU's win over DU, before closing out the week with her best performance of the season to date. Huber poured in a season-high 24 points as Illinois Wesleyan clawed back from a double-digit deficit to knock off No. 11 WashU on the Bears home floor. She contributed seven rebounds and four assists to help the Green and White claim the Midwest Challenge title for the third consecutive season.

The Titans set their sights on College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin play as IWU travels to North Park University Wednesday, Dec. 4. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. at the Holmgren Athletic Complex.
