NAPERVILLE, Ill. - Illinois Wesleyan University women's basketball senior Lauren Huber (Lombard, Ill.-Glenbard East) was recognized as the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin Women's Basketball Player of the Week Monday afternoon, Dec. 23. It is the first weekly award by the Titans this season.

Huber was key in No. 3 Illinois Wesleyan's win over No. 18 Chicago, Dec. 17, helping run IWU's record to 10-0. The senior co-captain scored a game-high 21 points on 9-of-14 shooting to go along with a team-high eight rebounds as the Titans topped the Maroons, 71-52. Huber added two assists and a steal in an efficient 29-minute effort. 

Illinois Wesleyan wraps up non-conference play in Texas as part of the Trinity (Texas) Tournament, Dec. 27-28. IWU will play Trinity University (Texas) Friday, Dec. 27, at 6 p.m. before battling East Texas Baptist University Saturday, Dec. 28,at 3 p.m.
